Fort Totten Park: A North Carolina Treasure

Fort Totten Park in Vanceboro, North Carolina, is an outdoor playground that has been a Fort Totten since the Revolutionary War. Fort Totten served as a defense against England and was later used to defend against Indian attacks during the late 1700s. Fort Tutenen had many purposes over time, but its primary use today is Fort Totten Park- a place of recreation and relaxation where people can enjoy nature at its best! Fort Totten Park is a great place to visit year-round! In the summer, you can enjoy swimming at our beach and fishing from one of two piers. The winter offers unique opportunities for snow skiing or sledding down hills near the pier. There are plenty of trails through woods filled with wildlife, as well as a picnic area that has tables and grills available for day use.
